SKILL UP: How To Get Hired With Your Skillset

The SNHU Career Services team, in collaboration with the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Academic Leaders, will host “SKILL UP: How to Get Hired with Your Skillset,” an event program series designed to equip social science and liberal arts students with their understanding of their career readiness skills.

What’s Career Readiness?

Career readiness skills, also known as competencies, are the skills, experiences, and attributes that prepare you for a successful career. A competency is a skill, task, strength, or personal quality that allows you to do a specific job role well. These critical skills give students the edge they need to land jobs.

Series Schedule:

Each event will highlight one specific career readiness competency, with a focus on helping students understand how to translate their academic skills into the workplace. This series will culminate in a collection of resources that will help students showcase their career readiness skills to future employers! The series will take place virtually 1 day a week over 4 weeks in total, highlighting one specific career readiness competency in each session, featuring SNHU academic partners and employer experts.
