Join SNHU Career Services for a free, virtual event during Healthcare & Social Sciences Careers Week for a virtual panel event as professionals working in municipal government roles share tips and strategies to help guide your career aspirations. Regardless of your career stage, this event is tailored to help you take the next step.

-NYS Dept. of Homeland Security & Emergency Services

-MA Executive Office of Veterans’ Services

-California Dept. of Healthcare Services

What to Expect:
-Discussion of valuable transferable skills from private sector to the public sector
-Overview of how to position past experiences effectively on a resume
-Recommendations of career paths for entry-point graduates and career-changing professionals

How to Prepare:
-Visit the Careers or Employment pages of your local city/town, county or state government website
-Review the job descriptions of roles that pique your interests and explore transferable skills and prepare career-relevant questions to ask guest panelists that reach beyond the research you can do on your own

Register:

-You will be redirected to mySNHU to complete the registration process.

-The virtual session will take place on 3/20/2025 at 12pm Eastern Time via Microsoft Teams.

-You will be able to refer to your mySNHU event registration confirmation and reminder emails for the link to join the webinar when you complete your registration.
