Overview:
- Career Ready is a 4-week virtual project experience created by SNHU Career Services for online students.
- Students will work in small, virtual teams with other SNHU students to analyze a real workplace scenario, create a presentation addressing an issue, and receive feedback from employer partners. Students will also learn how to take the project and explain it on a resume or in an interview.
- This experience is designed to help students build and practice NACE Career Readiness competencies through a real-world workplace scenario. This experience is not a course, but a short, resume-ready project that can help to develop professional skills and experience.
- This experience aligns with the NACE Career Readiness Skills by intentionally creating opportunities for students to practice and reflect on competencies such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and career management.
- This experience will be hosted through Microsoft Teams.
- This experience is open to all active undergraduate students with 114 – 45 credits remaining, and a GPA of 2.0 or greater. This experience is not open to students in their first term.

- Designed for busy students, this 4-week micro-experience offers a flexible way to build real-world skills while balancing coursework, work, and other commitments.
- Students will get the opportunity to work on a realistic workplace project and receive real feedback from employer partners.
- They can also learn about and practice career-readiness skills, including communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.
- Finally, students will learn how to talk about this project on their resumes and in interviews.
- At the completion of the experience, students will receive an SNHU Career Ready badge that can be shared on LinkedIn or on a resume.
How much time will Career Ready take?
- Most students take 2 – 3 hours per week. 90% of the experience is asynchronous with no required live meetings, and it is designed to fit the schedules of working learners.
Is there an application, and who should apply?
- Online undergraduate students with between 114 – 45 credits remaining and a 2.0 GPA or higher can apply. Note: No students will be accepted to this experience during their first term at SNHU.
