Early & Elementary Education in Italy: Faculty-Led Program (FLP) – International

Spend 10 days immersed in Italy’s rich culture and educational traditions, with stops in Padua, Venice, Bologna and Florence. You’ll explore iconic landmarks like the Basilica di San Antonio, the canals of Venice and Florence’s Renaissance treasures – all while engaging with local educators, schools and innovative learning centers. From university tours to classroom visits and a hands-on Tuscan cooking class, this experience offers a meaningful look at early and elementary education in Italy alongside unforgettable cultural moments.

Faculty-led programs (FLPs) are short-term travel experiences – typically 1-2 weeks – led by Southern New Hampshire University faculty.  Unlike National Student Exchange and semester-long study abroad programs, FLPs are an additional out-of-pocket cost. These trips are a great way to explore the world without committing to a full semester away.  While all majors are encouraged to apply, many FLPs are themed around topics that may align closely with specific fields of study.
