Overview & Requirements:
- STEM and Liberal Arts Academic Leaders and SNHU Career Services pilot a annual Game Design Experience Challenge during the academic year.
- This challenge invites Creative Writing students and Game Art & Development students to experience the game design process, collaborate across different programs, add skills to their resumes, learn about project management and network with other students.
- Students selected to participate will work together in small groups for 7+ weeks and familiarize themselves with game design processes. All participants will have the chance to develop their marketable skills. Students who complete the project will also receive a guide with information about how they can showcase their new skills in resume format, professional portfolio, and how to explain the experience to potential employers during the interview process. This is an opportunity to also network directly with employers in the gaming industry!
Who can participate?:
- Undergraduates Creative Writing students and Game Art & Development students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and 60 or more credits
Questions?:
- Students who met specific academic requirements are invited to apply to be considered for the Game Design Experience Challenge when applications open. The application process is competitive and not all who apply will be selected.
- Students will be notified via SNHU emails, classroom announcements, etc. when the challenge application is open.
