The Automation Developer intern works closely with the lead Automation Developer or independently to implement requirements, applicable code, and documentation for process automation projects. They will work with business stakeholders, and other developers to create automation solutions for existing processes. The Developer Intern will need to analyze existing processes, including existing automations, to accurately translate them to automation code.
This temporary, summer position will be based in Portland and has the flexibility to work from home part of the week. The role will be 30-35 hours per week and is slated to start in May and run through August.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Within PANDA guidelines, design and develop new and replacement automation solutions assigned by PANDA Manager.
- Determine how to implement the requested process with automation and tools available.
- Document, maintain, and support automated processes.
- Solve problems independently and as part of a team to complete tasks as assigned, with great attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and concisely, with all corporate business lines
Basic Qualifications:
- Working on Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science related field
- Advanced experience in programming: Python, SQL, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, SOAP and REST APIs
- Experience developing a technical program and executing effectively
- Understanding of basic agile principals or similar project management concepts
