Life Singularity offers a breakthrough predictive health platform delivering personalized, geospatial monitoring with a strong focus on “prospective” virtual care for prevention of health events. The Life Singularity virtual health assistant combines empathy with innovative avatar-based technology, advanced sensing of emotions, behaviors and lifestyles, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) that generates actionable, real-time data and intelligent analytics, enabling clinicians to make better, timelier and “predictive” care decisions, catching the disease ahead of time.
Life Singularity is looking for an AI/machine learning engineer to work with our team to innovate, develop, test, and deploy our platform. The candidate will focus mainly on engineering the AI/machine learning-related features of our platform as well as the predictive nature of it.

Responsibilities
● Deep algorithmic builds to enhance custom Machine Learning pipelines to provide solutions to business needs
● Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management and machine-learning systems
● Bring structure to large, disparate sources of data ranging from highly structured market data through to fully unstructured text
● Build and maintain high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and predictive models
● Design and structure an environment flexible enough for creative research while providing the stability, security, and controls necessary to be suitable for analysis of sensitive data
Basic Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science or related field with coursework relevant to machine learning
● Experience integrating machine learning algorithms into cloud platforms, including resource provisioning, installation, scaling, and validation, as well as building, training, and monitoring the machine learning production models
● 2+ years of experience in developing software in Java, C++/C, and/or Python
● Experience with all or some of the following machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, image processing, and data and image analysis tools ((AWS) Comprehend, Forecast, Lex, Polly, Rekognition, Textract, Sagemaker)
● Experience with data transformations, API wrappers and output formats used with machine learning algorithms
● Hands-on, in-depth experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure technologies
● Start-up experience and entrepreneurial spirit highly preferred
● Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
● Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
● Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience building and scaling complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
● Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
● Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
● Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
● Machine Learning or AI application development
The interns will be required to work 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule during Fall and Spring Semesters and 40 hours per week during summer. Individual exceptions for less than 20 hours (for example, for PhD interns) can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. The interns will be reporting to a senior resource with multiple years of experience in their requisite domains of AI, Data Science, Social Determinants, Regulatory standards, Epidemiology, Data Standardization, Visualization, NLP, Human-Centered Design, AR/VR and Quantum technologies.
