Summary of Job Description:
The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for administering the company’s benefit programs, consulting with and advising associates on eligibility, amounts of coverage, and claims procedures. This position may administer 401(k), health insurance, and other benefit plans. The Benefits Administrator participates in meetings to respond to associate questions and mediate their issues with benefit providers and third party administrators. The Benefits Administrator handles the annual open enrollment process for the company.

- Responsible for administering the company’s benefit programs, consulting with and advising associates on eligibility, amounts of coverage, and claims procedures.
- Administer the health insurance, 401(k) and other benefit plans.
- Ensure that information on the various plans is available to associates.
- Participate in meetings to describe, explain, and respond to questions concerning the company’s benefit programs.
- Mediate issues between employees and benefit plans, working with providers and third party administrators.
- Handle the annual open enrollment process for the company.
- Communicate open enrollment information to associates to provide updated and accurate information as the basis for their enrollment decisions.
- Produce audit reports to ensure that all eligible employees receive enrollment information.
- Create open enrollment communication materials for associates and enters payroll premiums into the HRIS and audits the entries for accuracy.
- Administer the company car program, coordinating the assignment of cars and ensuring that associates have all necessary documentation related to insurance, etc.
- Make recommendations on the make and model of cars to be included in the program based on fuel economy, safety, and total cost of the car.
- Conduct training sessions at the SC and in the field for both Support Center and Operations associates to communicate the benefit options available as the basis for their making appropriate benefit selections.
- Handle highly sensitive information and administers executive benefits (Long Term Disability and Life Insurance) to ensure accurate enrollment and coverage
- Provide enrollment statistics to assist the Committee in taking actions to improve employee participation.
- Participate in appropriate benefit survey sources and submits company data

Qualifications – External
Your background and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Minimum three years of HR/Benefits experience
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
