Internship to support programming of Piglet International Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
About our organization:
We inspire children to be positive, inclusive, and kind through the example of our tiny deaf blind dogs Piglet and Georgie and our 6 other adorable rescued dogs. Our online Piglet Mindset Educational Program is an impactful resource for educators to use as a supplement to their ongoing SEL and inclusion lessons. Our in-person and virtual school visits enhance our message of positivity and kindness with an interactive, engaging presentation. About the internship:
We’re looking for an individual with very strong communication and organizational skills to help collect contact info and then send informative compelling emails to educators and others that might be interested in bringing our program to their students. Groups of interest include educators, social workers, school administrators, and PTA presidents, as well as potential corporate partners and not-for-profit organizations that share our important messaging. Responses will be catalogued according to interest in our program.
This is 6 – 10 hours per week REMOTE/UNPAID internship for summer 2025.
What we’re looking for:
The perfect candidate will have a passion for animals, education, and an interest in nonprofit work, as well as an ability to work independently. Strong communication and writing skills are a must. This remote position will require working closely with the founder and executive director Piglet International Inc.
What you’ll gain:
The intern will receive real-world communication experience in a professional setting. Further, the applicant will see first hand how a small growing nonprofit organization operates. They’ll learn various email marketing strategies while helping to spread the organization’s mission. Although not core to the internship, there may be additional opportunities to assist with social media marketing and content creation.
