SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Full-Stack)
Project Pluto is hiring a Software Engineer to join our team in New York, NY.

What We Build:
Terminal X – AI Investment Agent designed to fundamentally change the way finance professionals work. With its advanced GenAI capabilities, it can handle the most complex financial research and analysis, providing accurate and reliable answers from a massive unstructured data.
Key Features:
- Augmented Search: Built to retrieve 100% accurate, contextually relevant information from a vast array of datasets
- Customized UI/UX for Finance: Seamlessly integrates finance/investment workflow, offering an intuitive experience tailored to investment research & analysis.
- Auditability: No more LLM blackbox. We show the process, run exhaustive retrievals, allow users to review and edit the searches, validate answers.
Your Role as a Software Engineer
At Project Pluto, you’ll be a versatile Software Engineer responsible for building and maintaining core functionalities of our products with full product ownership. You’ll work directly with CEO and CTO in product development while engineering across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, and RAG application development.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Product Development
- Design and develop AI products with user interfaces (client & server).
- Develop algorithms for personalization and other AI-integrated UX features.
RAG-based LLM Pipeline Creation
- Manage high-quality content generation LLM pipelines.
- Incorporate advanced prompt engineering, vector database, and fine-tuning techniques
Infrastructure and In-House LLM Ops Software Development
- Build an internal LLM Opts tool that enables engineers and finance domain experts to easily develop, evaluate, and deploy LLM applications end-to-end.
- Establish a robust infrastructure environment and simplify complex management systems.
Tech Stack:
- Client: TypeScript, React (Web), MUI, Tailwind
- Server: TypeScript, Node.js, gRPC, MySQL, Pinecone
- Infra: Kubernetes(EKS), Argo CD, Temporal, AWS, and GCP

Compensation
We aim to offer top of the market compensation. On top of your cash salary, stock options will be a big component of the total compensation.
- Expected Range: $90K-$120K (cash) + Stock Options, for full-time employees at NY Office
Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in a quantitative major (finance, math, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc.) at top schools
- Proficiency in general full-stack development
- Interest and knowledge in finance is a big plus
