Jennifer Broome is the Vice President of Philanthropy at American Forests, the nation’s oldest conservation organization, guiding fundraising and development efforts.
In this clip, Jennifer talks about the types of jobs in need of workers in Forest Management and how American Forests is helping build career pathways for these jobs. “The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that over the next 10 years there’s going to be 173,000 jobs that will need to be filled in Forest Management.”
With over 17 years of experience raising resources for mission-driven non-profits, Jennifer is proud to leverage her fundraising expertise to enable American Forests to have a lasting positive impact on the health of the environment now and for generations to come.
Fun Fact: Jennifer grew up in rural Ohio. After graduating from high school, Jennifer lived in Europe, Africa, and all over the United States. During her travels, she saw the importance of caring for our environment because she lived in places that didn’t and that led to her pursuit of a career in the environmental space.
