- The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) – The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) allows international students to gain practical experience through internships, both during their studies and after completing their academic programs. To support this, USCIS provides two types of work authorization: Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT):

- Working In The United States – This page provides a summary of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa classifications and other categories of aliens who are eligible for employment authorization.
- USCIS has released a list of the top 200 employers that frequently hire CPT students.
- H-1B Employer Data Hub – This site offers a database of employers petitioning for H-1B employees. It allows you to search for H-1B sponsors by year (back to 2009), employer name, location or NAICS code, as well as calculate approval and denial rates. Complete data for individual fiscal years is available to download
- Temporary Work Visas – To find US employers who sponsor temporary work visas (like H-1B), focus on tech companies, IT firms, and those hiring for specialized roles, and utilize job boards and recruitment agencies that specialize in placing foreign workers.
